Apples for the Students works with grocery stores to provide more than $250 million worth of FREE computers, equipment, programs and educational tools to local schools.

During the 2015/­2016 receipt collection period, 5 local schools participated in Big John’s Apples for the Students program. They collected 613,900 points in receipt totals. Big John’s donated $6,139 toward school supplies and equipments at Maple Grove Elementary School, Franklin Elementary School, Brookport Elementary School, Unity Elementary School and Metropolis Elementary School.

  • Metropolis Elementary School received 2 Apple iPad Minis, 16GB with cases and ear buds.
  • Unity Elementary School received a 32” Smart LED HDTV.
